About
Brampton Golf Club’s 18-hole championship course boasts consistently outstanding conditioning, a serene setting, and an excellent test of golf. With six sets of tee blocks, this par 71 ranges in length from 6576 to 4759 yards, offering inclusive playability to golfers of all ages, abilities, and ambitions. The 16th, 17th and 18th holes at Brampton are included in “Spectacular Golf Ontario 2013 edition”, as some of the best golf holes in Ontario.
The course was designed and built in 1963 by C. E “Robbie” Robinson, the nearest disciple of legendary architect, Stanley Thompson. The course continues to evolve and improve under the direction of famed modern architect, Doug Carrick.
The club has hosted a number of notable championships, most recently, the 2014 Women’s Ontario Amateur, won by Brooke Henderson. Others include the 1969 and 2011 Men’s Ontario Amateur, the 2001 and 2003 Men’s Toronto Star Amateur, the 1989 Canadian Tournament Players Championship, the 1985 Canadian PGA Championship and the 1984 Women’s Ontario Amateur.
