Harbor Golf Club and Resort Inc

Harbor Golf Course was built in the late 80’s by the provincial government. The course is located on provincial government land in the Harbour Recreational Site.

The course operations were tendered out initially to a lease by the provincial government. Over the past 30 some years, there have been numerous private shareholders that have maintained this existing lease.

In 1997, 9 holes were opened to the public with the full 18 holes ready in 1988. The clubhouse was built in 1988 and a Grand Opening of the entire course was held in 1989.

An additional tournament building, was built in 1999 to assist with hosting major golf events, but now is also utilized for weddings, anniversaries and meetings. The Tournament Building received a face-lift and deck upgrade in 2015.

The clubhouse kitchen renovation was completed in 2019. There are plans for additional work to be completed in the clubhouse in the next few years.

The golf course layout has seen some changes since its inception in 1987… but the best way to explore those changes is by experiencing the course itself from tee to green.
