About
The Nordhaug Golf Course is located on an old farm. The farm is run as it is today from the 1830s. Much of the area was previously also used as a riding center, and where the clubhouse is today there was a large riding hall that was demolished in favor of the clubhouse and golf center. The Nordhaug farm, which owns the land, has one of the largest operating buildings in Norway. The grounds of the farm can be documented from the younger Iron Age. Some of the former riverbed was filled again around the 1960s and today forms part of the range and training areas.
The open area of the course is divided by a small river where the area is protected as an important biotopic conservation area. It has been shown that this area is one of the areas in Norway with the highest number of different bird species.
The Nordhaug course was designed together with Haga Golf Course from 2000 and opened for the first time in 2002. It borders one of the loops on Haga and the forest towards Bærumsmarka. The clubhouse and golf center itself were completed in 2006. The club was founded in 2010.
The rank on the course is Norway's largest with 80 mats spread over 2 floors.
